This story is called The Travelling Journal, and it’s about friendship, shared memories, and the simple pleasure of keeping something that travels between two people.
A journal makes its way back to me in the mail, filled with little pieces of everyday life collected by a friend who lives far enough away that we can’t see each other as often as we’d like. As I turn the pages, I find familiar handwriting, small observations, and ordinary moments that have become meaningful simply because they were shared.
On a rainy day, a familiar package arrives at the door, bringing with it a chance to slow down and reflect on friendship, everyday moments, and the little pieces of life that are worth holding onto. As the pages of a well-loved journal begin to fill, ordinary memories become a way of staying connected across the miles.
